Why I Chose This Career Why did I chose a school psychologist to be a possible career. A school psychologist help students, teachers and families with educational issues. They can suggest new teaching ways, they can address behavior problems and also problems students have with learning. Not only do school psychologist have to do this but they also have to have lots of different skills and abilities. They have to be patient, a people person, trustworthy, good problem solver, observant, communicative, and logical. To be able to do this they have to go to school and get a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, and education.
