The article studied how parental control, school nutrition and physical activity habits effect a child. “Children consume up to 50% of their total daily caloric intake while they are at school. Thus, school nutrition policy may make an instrumental impact on childhood obesity as demonstrated by several studies (Seo,2012)”. Schools are a good location to promote soda, chips and other junk food. Students are also able to purchase the food because there isn’t anyone monitoring their food and calorie intake.
