Hi Antoinette, I think it is wonderful that you are able to reach so many people to spread the word and educate them on the Zika virus and prevention. I honestly never thought about having school nurses and the school board get involved with this. School nurses not only have the ability to educate the students but the faculty and parents as well (Fisher et al., n.d.). School nurses play a key role in health promotion and educating as well as decreasing the spread of diseases and infection. School nurses are able to reach the people in the community and be doing so these individuals will in return spread the word to their family members and friends (National Association of School Nurses, 2016).
