Nowadays in Australia lunch is provided by parents or children will purchase lunch at the canteen,but as a parent I strongly advocate the belief that school lunches should be provided by the government. Ever since I 've came to Australia and sent 3 children through school I 've noticed some major concerns that I have with the lunch provided or food sold within the canteen.Working in a canteen I have experienced the variety of food distributed ranging from fast food such as pizza and unhealthy burgers to ice cream and lollies.However, as a mother I fear to what these children are putting into their mouths. This food is detrimental to a child 's health and I ask all to consider the possible repercussions providing children with unhealthy food. I want parents, children to stand for a change, a better chance to provide Australia with a bright future where we can conquer obesity and in doing so reduce many harmful diseases such as diabetes.
