Around sixty-seven percent of the people across the country believe schools should offer only nutritious drinks, such as white milk, water, and natural fruit juice, to students. I strongly agree that adding nutritious beverages to school lunches is a logical and reasonable idea. To begin with, when products are locally sourced, the local economy around the school will also receive a boost. Also, when a parent of a school student sends their child, or children, to school, they should not have the need to worry about the things that their kid may drink. Finally, providing these options would promote a healthier lifestyle. As can be seen, having healthier, locally sourced beverages in our schools is good for the students, helps parents feel

When a local business sells a product to the school system, it will not only increase the school’s economy, but will also give the economy an extra boost of money. For example, if Ridgeview High School purchases an item from a local farm in the same county, both the school and economy will have benefitted from a simple action. The extra money, gained by the local economy, can then be used for other things needed by the county. Some may include road improvements, small business assistance, or more allotted money for the school system. All in all, an economy can benefit when the schools buy locally sourced, nutritious beverages. Secondly, parents should not have to worry about their children when sending them to school. Some parents worry about their children when sending them to school too frequently. Especially when they are not even sure about what their kid may consume. Many kids may not like the idea of nutritious beverages, but at least their parents appreciate having peace of mind when their child has choices they would provide for their son or daughter. After all, if it will make the parent of a school student satisfied then I believe we need to be adding more nutritious drinks into the school
