Interstate School Leadership Licensure Standards

This standard is about how school leaders should collaborate with families and learn to create a successful learning environment for all. The Interstate School Leadership Licensure Consortium (ISLLC) standards were designed to help current and new school leaders the opportunity to educate themselves and strengthening their leadership skills. The standards give school leader a plan, which will help to expedite the process in order for school leaders to successful school. The standards not only provide help for school leaders, but they also “provide guidance to state policymakers as they work to improve education, leadership preparation, licensure, evaluation, and professional development” (Council of Chief State School Officers, 2008, p.1). …show more content…
Ethics plays a major role in providing a healthy school climate. School leaders must support student but maintaining their ethical responsibility. My first artifact will support all students in the learning process. The goal is to practice fairness and exhibit integrity. School leaders must learn to deal with issues that relate to fairness and honesty. School leaders who are aware of the fairness issues within the school will help student be fair which will promote success of all students. Standard five also encourages school leaders to treat staff with fairness and integrity. It is important that staff and stakeholders are treated fair through the decisions making process. It can be easy for school leaders to make decisions and not think to include important stakeholders or staff members. School leader must be able to include these important people when needed. The success of the school is not just in the principal, but the staff and students and stakeholder who are invested in the success of the school. 7B - Implements building level goals. School leaders must b e able to effective in implementing the school districts goals. School leaders must learn to strive to meet the needs of the school district goals. Meeting the district goal is a necessary step in implementing student achievement. Working with the school district to set goals and achievement for the school year is critical. Standard seven is very important because it helps too build a school plan, which will help meet student and district goals. This standard also allows superintendents and school leaders to set goal together. This relationship must be positive and a great working relationship. School leaders are ultimately expected to work with the school district goals and implement this in a way they can improve student achievement. My artifacts support the school districts goals and implements thee school building goals. The school budget is the proposal expenditure for the year. The budget plan is a vital role in the functions of the school. The school leaders must be able to prepare a budget and ensure the items are important for the school year.
