Kindergarten was a Caribbean cruise, first, third and fifth grade along with junior and senior year were Hawaii. Yellowstone National Park was in seventh grade, and Washington DC was sophomore year, along with a multitude of others throughout my life. However, missing school doesn 't always mean missing education. Pearl Harbor is part of history. So when that came up in class, I knew all about it. . .I 've been there! This truly speaks for itself. People will not always drop what they are doing to help you out, especially when you did not even try by yourself. My mom has always loved to throw this concept out there. Recently, I have started applying it in my own life, becuase life flows much more painlessly once you realize that you are your own priority. It 's simply not practical to put someone before yourself. Not to say never assist others, however, if it comes down to doing what you need to do, or doing what someone else needs done, take care of yourself
