Actually every grade is a prison you are the prisoners. Big, scary teachers are the guards. The upper classmen are like other inmates, but they are meaner and know more about the prison than you. For the first week or so the prison is not too bad because you do not get home work and the guards are pretty nice. Once the second week comes, the guards get a killer instinct and start firing homework at you left and right. It is like war. All of a sudden you are in a pile of homework, practically up to your neck, and you have no time to do it because you have practice after school, chores, and many other obligations. You have to eat when you get home because you are starving, help your parents when you are done eating, and you have to stay up until 3 to get your homework done for school tomorrow morning. By the time school starts you are dead and you have no energy to stay awake but you have to, otherwise you are going to be even more behind and you do not want

For the first three years of high school I found myself asking if it was time for me to get a job. Like any other high schooler, I used a skill I have used over the years that I like to call procrastination. I’ve learned that having a job in high school is more beneficial that being unemployed.…

As young children, we are asked the cliché “What do you want to be when you grow up” question. Due to high expectations, it is always answered with lawyers, doctors, surgeons, chefs etc. In our minds, at that age, we believe that it is quite simple to obtain or become a member of that profession.
