Integrity in school and life is very important in all that you do every day. To me, integrity is something that a person has, meaning they are trying to do what is right. It is being honest and keeping a good image. It is something that should be used in every day in many ways. According to an online dictionary, “integrity is adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character, honesty. One time I used integrity in my school life is when I forgot to do a page of homework. Instead of giving my teacher an excuse of why it wasn’t fully done, I told her the truth, of how I thought there was only one page of homework. A time is was dishonest in school is when I asked my friend something and my teacher heard me and I got in trouble. I was in fifth grade. That is example of academic dishonesty. “Academic dishonesty consists of any deliberate attempt to falsify, fabricate or otherwise tamper with data, information, records, or any other material that is relevant to the student’s participation in any course, laboratory, or any other academic exercise or function. Some examples of academic dishonesty is plagiarism, cheating, and other academic misconduct.” Integrity will affect my future. You will need integrity all through your career in your job. With good jobs, and more, the connections we can get will be important, so we will need to have good integrity to help us have those connections. It can help us in college if we need to get onto the good side of a professor is they are not that great of a person, and many more ways. We will need to have good integrity when we meet people we may not like, but need to be civil with. Integrity will be a big part of our future.
