Field Observation 2 Notes
Meeting participants arrived at 9:00, breakfast arrived, and staff got food and coffee. Mrs. Earl and Mrs. Walker did a welcome. Mrs. Walker reviewed what was done for PBL implementation this summer; Buck institute coming in and helping write curriculum. She went over lessons created for both science and ELA. She also discussed next steps for implementation.
Next steps for implementation:
• Packaging science lessons
• Correct, refine and fluff science lessons; discussion arouse when staff was asked to fluff lessons. Clarification was asked regarding what fluff meant, Miss. Haro mentioned that in science there is no fluff, its procedural to be able to be replicative without any confusion or interpretation. o Discussion

Reflection
After the meeting, I analyzed the meeting notes and how the meeting went. I felt that we had accomplished several things by discussing next steps and creating lesson plans. I was concerned about how Mrs. Walker took control of the meeting and how the leadership team member reacted towards her. Leadership team members were somewhat defensive and aggressive towards her. She had already made decision without taking the team into consideration. I felt the Mrs. Walker wanted to take control of project-based learning, and it was a concern to everyone present. After the meeting, members of the leadership team brought up concerns to me regarding Mrs. Walker participation and control over the team. I tried to diffuse the situation. My concern is why is Mrs. Walker trying to take control, are there deadlines that need to be addressed and no one told the leadership team or was she given a directive. I will need to find out to ensure the implementation goes
