School Counseling Domains

The domains are academic, career, and personal/social. Each promotes and enhance the learning process of students. The purpose of these three areas are the core of the content for the comprehensive school counseling program. The academic domain consists of students attaining skills, attitudes and knowledge that contribute to effective learning in school; engaging various approaches to accomplish success in school; and comprehension of the connection of academics to work, and home and in the community.
