Many people are not aware that school funding is a current issue within the public school systems. Not only are people who do not have children not informed; the parents of the students are not informed. For example, the principal of a Title I school should not have to make the decision of picking between having a library OR a reading instruction teacher when the students clearly need both.
There is an ongoing effort to get the parents of the students involved and educated. This will help bring more attention to the needs of the school which will in turn help their children, the students.
