I can rule out ASD, even though he does display several symptoms because as a child Caleb had numerous friends, no one expressed concern about his social behavior, and he reached his development milestone at expected ages. Therefore, symptoms do not seem to present in early development. Furthermore, based on the information Caleb do not have symptoms which cause him significant impairment in important areas of functioning, we would need more information in a diverse setting, such as school. Schizotypal and Schizoid Personality Disorder symptoms both overlap with each other, but I can rule out Schizoid Personality Disorder because of his previously friendship he used to have and Schizoid have a preference of being alone. Caleb also does not show distress by not having friends or being a loner and would not be able to diagnose without distress. Therefore, I would diagnose Caleb with a Provisional Schizotypal Personality Disorder because Schizotypal Personality Disorder better explains the symptoms. Needs to be a provisional diagnosis because to meet criteria a person needs five or more symptoms to meet the criteria, currently he only meets three. Nevertheless, I will wait for more information on Caleb for a full diagnosis during the next sessions with
