Reporting party (RP) received a call on 10/16/17 from a former county dependent, Angela Behrendt (DOB: 07/15/82) who reported that while she was residing at this group home, she was sexually abuse by staff member Broderick (last name unknown). Ms. Behrendt resided in the home from 1996-2000. RP stated that staff kissed and fondled her (skin to skin) 1 time. It was also reported that staff showed up to her place of employment (unknown) and had her perform fallatio on him in his car. Individuals in a normal state of awareness are usually able to make their own decisions and also know what is best for them. However, J.S., a twenty-four-year-old male schizophrenic mentioned in Cases in Bioethics from The Hastings Center Report edited by Carl Levine and Robert Veatch, was not able to make these kinds of decisions in his state even while taking Prolixin, the medication to suppress his schizophrenia. This was due to the iatrogenic effect called tardive dyskinesia, a result of taking this antipsychotic drug.
