Two methods used to schedule appointments would be scheduling matrix and double-booking. Scheduling matrix identifies a pattern of working and nonworking hours for a medical office. However with double-booking we are scheduling two patients at the same time for the same provider, in which the provider will have multiple patients at the same time. Three main points to verify with the payer before the patient arrives for their appointment will be, Co-pay, which it to verify what the patient will need to pay when they come to their appointment. We also need to verify if the insurance is in-network, which means if we are not in-network, the payer may reject payment or may not cover the same amount as if they were in-network.
