Scene Analysis: Bedroom Observation

There are two scenes in this episode. This first part of the sequence shows that Tony sitting on the armchairs and talk to the psychiatrist. The armchairs show that it is a professional psychological counseling environment which provide patient a comfortable place. In this conversation scene, Tony descripted his dream which implicit his restless and anxious mental activities. Additionally, the psychiatrist shows her intellectuality appearance is that wearing the glasses, business suits and short hair. It is use the medium shot which can show that the Tony’s body language. For example, sometimes he is scratch his tie and head which show his anxious mood. In addition, it used the eye-level angle and shallow focus which can give viewer a sense of empathy and equality so that used to direct the viewer’s attention to these two main characters. …show more content…
During this time, Tony looks so upset repression and unstable which represent his mental activities that he is afraid to lose his family. After that, it is followed by an establishing shot which show that where the action is to take place and it also use the low lighting that a bunch of light to play in the character, left two dark shadow which produce a sombre and depressing mood. Moreover, only Tony back to the camera, leaving a dark back which reveal his heavy mood. And then it used a point-of-view shot and shallow focus which shows that the focus is on the speaker and leave listener an indistinct back. Encouraging viewer’s identification with an individual in the story, to see it “through their eyes”.
