The ball is hit over harder than expected, but my cousin pops the ball up enough so I can get to it in time. I set up a perfect hit, the ball moves so fast to the Earth nobody can reach it, as the it hits the Earth we all cheer and jump for joy for it is us who has the upper hand in this match. Leading up to this event of sweat, determination and fun is the Latterell Olympics, a crazy invention made by yours truly the Latterell family, the Olympics are not necessarily testing your strength, but more about agility and the will to win the big prize. The first event we do is the easiest one, the cookie sliding down your face into your mouth. In every Olympic event you have to have a partner I choose Deanna because she is very athletic and this …show more content…
We pick up every can and set them on top of the board and without hesitation we start shooting the cans, Deanna hands me one mini marshmallow after the other we get one can down, I look over to see that my cousins already have two cans and only one to go, this gets me anxious, eager to win I shoot down another can, only one more to go. I hear a shout of joy, my cousins got their third and final can shot down. One after another people raise their hand and claim the place we should have gotten, but I can’t shoot this can down. Deanna decides that she should give it a try, so she rips the gun out of my hand shoves five or six marshmallows into the gun and blows as hard as she can, the mallows fly out in every direction, and unbelievably one of them hits the can, and it falls. Our team got fourth that round, not bad considering everyone in my family plays with nerf guns still. The next event is the last, it’s called the watermelon challenge my Aunt explains the rules again and we get into groups of four my group is Deanna, Shelby, Chelsey, and I. We have to put rubber-bands around this average sized watermelon until it pops. Everyone is so excited it start, first to go is my group, we pick out the biggest, thickest rubber-bands there is I stretch them out a little so it’s easier to put them on the watermelon, and as I stretch them one springs loose from my hand and hits the other hard. I release the three other bands and let them hit the ground I scream out in pain, and everyone wonders what is wrong with me, I cling to my hand like it’s about to fall off, but that doesn’t

The first day of the Ohio State Fair had visitors smiling faces turn into the look of terror within seconds as they watched a ride break apart right before their eyes. According to WCPO, the "Fire Ball" ride cracked while riders were on it throwing their bodies at least 20-30 feet into the air as they were ejected from the ride as it was swinging and spinning around. Terrified witnesses watched as the riders slammed to the concrete ground. Dr. David Evans of OSU Medical Center explained "multiple passengers were ejected at high speed" then "crashed at a significant distance from the ride." ABC News reports 18-year-old Columbus, Ohio, resident Tyler Jarrell, lost his life when he was flung into the air while malfunctioning ride fell apart.…

The 1893 Chicago World's Fair was one that the rest of the world thought would fail, but America knew it would be the greatest of all time. No one really thought Chicago could outdo Paris and the Eiffel Tower; all the odds were against America hosting the World's Fair. Allowing America did not know where the 1893 World's Fair was going to be, Chicago, St. Louis, Washington, and New York all put bids in to have the fair in their city. In February 1890 it was announced that Chicago would be the host of the World's Fair. Chicago was still developing socially and economically after the great fire in 1871, just 22 years earlier.…

Before going into our scavenger hunt, I thought that communicating with people without speech would not be a hard task; however, after approaching our first destination, I quickly realized that this scavenger hunt would be more challenging than I originally thought. Every person that we tried to communicate with seemed very confused and gave us funny facial expressions. My group signed to each other, and the people that we were trying to communicate with were definitely wondering what was happening. Each person continued to talk to us, even though we were not talking back to them. They pointed at objects and wrote some information down for us, but they still spoke as if we could understand what they were saying.…

Call it the end of the world, but no matter what you call it big or small it is up to you whether you chose to embrace and learn from what you have been thru or are going through and whether you chose to let it control you there is only one true definition and according to the google dictionary a challenge is a call to take part in a contest or competition, especially a dual it is an objection or query as to the truth of something, often with an implicit demand for proof.
