Scary Horror Film: Pennywise

With only previews and reviews, publication for the movie It hit through the roofs. All over social media, fans waited with enthusiasm for the premier; and once it came out, many were pleased but not in the way they were expecting. The creative story behind It is that every twenty-seven years the clown, Pennywise, makes an appearance in the town to abduct children; so, this is basically the background of the story to set up the plot, yet it is not the attention grabber throughout the movie. While the label of horror to the movie It does not really hold strong, the selection of actors and the skills of makeup save the film and make it successful. Horror film, is what the movie It was intended to describe in terms of genre. In contrast to what professional reviewers said about the movie, most viewers did not agree with the choice of genre that was set to the film. The movie has a great background story to it, and to its main character Pennywise, a background that could have been transformed into an extremely frightening movie. Although the movie came along with a great background, no advantage was taken from it to give into the scary horror film that it should have been. Beginning with the makeup; the talented artists creatively put their expertise together to construct the fearful clown, Pennywise. Now, production; the team that puts it all together. With the new technology these days; animations, editing, and staging is so outstanding that it seems surreal. Not a flaw was seen in the movie regarding to makeup, production, or even costume designing. Not only do the actors deserve a round of applause, but so does the entire production
