A scar is your body’s way of healing an injury. Scars may be caused by surgery, cuts, scrapes, burns, or a skin disease such as acne. Scars can change the appearance of your skin if they are wide, raised, sunken, or discolored. A scar near your eye or lip may change the appearance of your face. A scar may also cause your skin to tighten, which can restrict movement.
Scar revision is a procedure to reduce, remove, or improve a scar.

Surgical Scar Removal
