Even the Doctors Were Shocked to Find 12,000 of These in a Woman’s Stomach

A woman from India suffered from acid reflux and stomach pain for 2 months. The scans showed that she had gallstones. During the surgery, the doctors removed 11,950 stones. This is a new world record. The gallbladder is a small organ in the body with the shape of a pear located under the liver. It stores bile. The gallstones are small balls made of salt and cholesterol. They may not affect the health, but if they block the gallbladder it can cause nausea and pain and even fatal infections. The risk of gallbladder stones is increased by a fatty diet. This condition usually affects more women than men.
