Reactions and Feelings -

In the beginning of the book, I just read about two normal teenagers named Amy and Matthew who seem to be very close friends sending each other emails. The first page was an email written by Amy to Matthew titled, I’m happy! Amy was saying how happy she was that when she walked into her mother's office that Matthew's name was on the list! She said that it was an unusual setup and to try not to think of it as her parents offering to pay people to be her friend and that she'd prefer to think of it as her parents are paying people to pretend to be her friend, and that was probably much closer to the truth.
This made me confused because at the time, I had no Idea what

I notice things.” “WHAT KIND OF THINGS?” “It's not your fault you don't have friends, you always have an aid with you. PLus you talk about parties and dances but I don't think that you have ever been to one so how do you know you're not sorry to be missing?” Amy said “I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE SAYING THIS.” “sorry” “DON'T BE SORRY. YOU'RE RIGHT. MY GOSH, I CAN’T BELIEVE HOW RIGHT YOU ARE.”

This made me feel sad for Amy because it must be hard to hide so much for so long and to go so long without any friends. Amy was not the girl I first thought she was in the beginning of the book. I was surprised on how well she can hide it because how can anyone put so much detail into emotional words about how happy you are about yourself if you have never felt that way. I am really liking this book so far and I can't wait to keep reading it. I wonder what Amy’s life will turn out to be in the future and what actually worries her about

Certain individuals spend too much time pretending to be something they are not and too often forget to embrace the fact they are special in their own way. Others constantly judge people because of where they come from. Many think they are better than others and discriminate upon them heavily. Society has played a huge impact on the acceptance of cultural diversity over time and influenced negative beliefs to many in order to portray the view of a perfect individual.…

    Dear Sugar Summary

Tiny beautiful things Advice on love and life from Dear Sugar by Cheryl Strayed is a unique book in a sense that most writer writes one long story instead of a plethora of letters sent by anonymous writers to the wonderful Sugar. Sugar is not a psychologist, but many still write to her seeking advice about their life. The letters varied, so sugar hand picked the one she liked and published them on her book. I think her criteria was if she could somehow present an event that happened in her life and tie it with the story, and of course, if her audience can relate to either the anonymous letter or her response to catch their attentions. Personally, I love the beginning of the book.…

Her need for love becomes clear as the strange woman appears and Amanda’s troubles seem to stand by. This novel is executed well, and is able to very clearly show its original story and themes of truth, love, and change. The concepts might have been too mature for me to handle, but I enjoyed reading the novel very much. The novel was very thought provoking and it challenged me to think about a lot of the themes, more than any other novel has before. The characters and stories told in this novel created a feeling of learning new things and I believe that it is a wonderful story for those who like novels of this…

I also really like the story telling part, I can tell that the author Morris Gleitzmann wrote the book with a story in his mind, that he wanted to get across to the readers. It's a kind of sad and brutal story, but I think it's important that it gets shared and that people read it because that way they can get educated on what the worlds really like in some places. And it makes me appreciate, how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful country.…
