Aron Ralston showed tremendous determination, knowing that if he wanted to survive the complication, he must accomplish the escape on his own. As stated from day 5, paragraph 3, sentence 5, of ‘Trapped’, “Despite having already com e to accept that I will die where I stand before help arrives, now I believe I will live.” No part of survival is giving up hope. In the movie a mother has lost a three of her four sons in the military. It is military code to a keep the name, “Ryan” alive. The commander directs a special operation to save him. These soldiers display massive amounts of survivor traits by risking their lives for a fellow soldier’s family. Ryan’s family already has displayed survivor traits, such as being in the military that says enough. Another way these soldiers show survivor traits, is there brotherhood of battle. Multiple soldiers pass away throughout the search for Private Ryan. The soldiers help the family retain its name, by doing this they show brotherhood.
