How to Save Your Money on College Textbooks? So where can I get the cheapest textbook? This is the question either college students ask themselves or their professors every semester. Even some students that are in their fourth or fifth semester are still dealing with the problem, where do I find the cheapest book or how much can I save on textbook? So far I am in my third semester and I still haven't paid a penny on college textbook. Especially freshman year in college, most people will take the general classes because they don't know what they want to major in. And for these general classes, people will only use the textbooks once and the textbooks may cost up to two hundred dollars. This proposal will greatly aid the students that have financial problems and for those who just don't want to buy the gigantic textbook and leave it at home to collect dusts. First of all, search for the book on all the internet search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. Many professors may not use the books that are recently published because it's time consuming to read an entire textbook over the summer or the winter break. Many people have a public library card, so use it! Turn on a laptop or computer, put in a password if is require, and then click on an internet engine. Then type www.google.com and search for New York public libraries on the search box. Click on the first result so you can reach the New York public library. After you reach the New York public library page, search for the textbook or the author of your textbook you want in it's search box.
