Saturn
Saturn is the second most biggest planet in our Solar System. The planet was mostly named by the Roman and Greek gods. Apparently the name Jupiter as well as Saturn was named after a Greek and Roman gods. Saturn was the “father” of Jupiter in the gods. The arrangement of the planets from the Sun, in fact, go Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and the dwarf planets including Pluto. Saturn is the the 6th planet away from the sun. Because it is the second biggest planet, Saturn absorbs a lot of sunlight. In fact, the average temperature of Saturn is 288 degrees fahrenheit [ minus

Which means that 764 Earth’s can fit into Saturn. Think about our planet now. And we thought Earth was big. Usually the color of Saturn is around a palish or orangish color. But even with a more complex telescope, you can see Saturn’s colors mixing in a little bit of orange and white. In fact, again with a more complex telescope, you can see the storms swarming Saturn. There are so many storms on Saturn that the planet itself is called a Gas Giant. The Gas Giant planets include Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, and obviously Saturn. The “gas” or atmosphere of Saturn was mostly made out of hydrogen when it first formed. Now the remains of the formation, Saturn is somehow a little bit made out of helium. But the atmosphere, now, includes Nitrogen and Oxygen. Saturn has several moons. To be exact, Saturn has 62 moons. The three most main moons of Saturn are Titan, Dione, and Enceladus. The most important is the Titan moon. The Titan moon has a very heavy atmosphere and the diameter is 50% larger than Earth’s. Saturn also in fact has clouds. The clouds swirl Saturn just like the clouds swirl in our atmosphere, but the magnetic field is 578 times more powerful than

Pluto also has craters that are scattered all over the dwarf planet. Pluto is smaller than a number of moons, Ganymede, Titan, Callisto, Io, Europa, Triton, and the Earth’s moon are all smaller than Pluto. Pluto has 66% of the diameter of the earth's moon. Another thing about pluto is that it sometimes is has an atmosphere. When Pluto's elliptical orbit takes it closer to the Sun, its surface ice thaws and forms a thin atmosphere primarily of nitrogen which slowly escapes the planet.…

Within the troposphere are layers of cloud;water clouds at the lowest pressures, with ammonium hydrosulfide clouds above them. Ammonia and hydrogen sulfide clouds come next. Finally, thin methane clouds lay on the top. The troposphere extends 30 miles (50 kilometers) from the surface of the planet(Taylor,"Uranus'). The planet is mostly made up of swirling fluids.…

Uranus also has a high amount of wind that which according to Theplanets.org “wind speeds can reach up to 900 kilometers per hour.” It also features hydrogen and helium in its upper layer, has a lot more ice, and is generally is constant across the globe even on the side where the sun doesn’t shine for years. In addition, according to Theplanets.org “The mass of Uranus is about 14.5 times the mass of earth, making it the lightest of the four gas giants in the atmosphere.”…

Encelads was first observed on 28th August, 1789, by Sir William Herschel, when he focused his 47 inch telescope on a small dot near Saturn. The diminunative size of Enceladus and the glare from Saturn and it’s ring sheilded it from discovery. Herschel's observations coincided with the equinox of Saturn, when Earth's perspective on the planet resulted in reduced glare from the rings which helped in it’s eventual discovery. This little dot, which later proved to be of utmost interest to scientists all over, was concluded to be an undiscovered moon of Saturn.…

Pluto was said to be the smallest Planet in the solar system and the ninth Planet from the sun, little after Pluto was recategorized From a planet to a Dwarf Planet, but still smaller than other Dwarf Planets meaning that It can not clear any objects out of its path. Dwarf Planet Pluto was discovered to have five moons Hydra, Kerberos, Nix, Styx, and Charon the largest moon.…

Neptune has more mass even though Uranus is the larger of the two because of density. While we measure the gas giants starting at where we can see their visible features, the gas surrounding their rocky cores can be thick or thin just as the rocky cores themselves may vary in size. In the instance of these two planets, Neptune has the larger rockier core with less gas surrounding it, hence appearing to be smaller while Uranus has a smaller core with more gases leading to the planet Neptune being more dense that her neighbor.…

Of all the outer planets, I would like to visit Saturn. I would explore this planet because its well-known rings and unique structure are very intriguing. The planet is extremely different from Earth, providing any possible visitors with a special memory. Depending on the duration of my stay, I might experience a couple days on Saturn, since its rotational period is 10 to 11 hours. Although I would not be able to stand on the surface, since Saturn is a gas giant, I would be able to explore its atmosphere.…
