Who does not enjoy the fun an election year brings to our society? It is vital to our country and what we stand for. We are a democracy and that's been the tale since the beginning of our country. We also can't forget our electrifying discourse that centers around facts when election time rolls around. Every news outlet gives their honest opinions and that's all we could ever ask of them. The candidates are also usually always amazing, which makes it incredibly tough to make a decision. Most people cast their votes on who they believe will genuinely push our country forward, not just narratives and hearsay. It is agreed amongst everyone that election time is the most prosperous and uniting time for the United States.

At this time the United States was in the midst of a global pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement had begun protesting all throughout the country following the death of George Floyd. These factors played a massive role in everything that happened during and after the election. Racial tension seemed to be at an all time high and it felt like there was a snowball effect beginning amongst all the chaos.(Reuters). At one point news stations such as Fox News labeled BLM protesters as thugs, criminals, and worst of all Biden supporters. TheWrap. The narrative began that the left is beginning to ruin the United States and the rightwing is now responsible for fixing this. This led to a massive surge in counter-protests that had become violent and even led to death.(acleddata.com). It's clear that love was potent in America, and we were all happy to reminisce on those times. Eventually, the election came and Biden was declared President. Soon came numerous lawsuits and massive backlash claiming the election was in some way rigged or illegitimate. Nearly a third of Americans believe this claim is true. The culmination of this snowball was January 6th. Thousands of Trump supporters gathered together to storm the Capital, believing this will help overturn the election results. This didn't end up coming to fruition, but we see
