In Marquez’s piece of work, “A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings, it is piece of satire. It mocks human nature and catholicism. Marquez asks Father Gonzaga to learn about the old man “unsmart” dialect to determine whether it has any relation to Aramaic, language of Jesus. Father Gonzaga is also asked to determine how many times the old man’s head can fit on the head of pin, which contributes to the further discrimination to catholicism to prove God’s omnipotence. The old man with wings is also being noticed as a Norwegian sailor making sounds from church leaving out reality.
Marquez criticizes those like the old man because it seems that they do not realize the greater significance of life. Marquez wants his work of satire to be spread and
