Cruelty to animals, also called animal abuse or animal neglect, is the human infliction of suffering or harm upon any non-human animal. It may surprise some to learn that what most people would call animal abuse is often not defined as “cruel” and often does not have a harsh punishment. It is easy to tell when animal cruelty is occurring in neighborhoods, but many people could care less about animals being neglected in live entertainment. No animal should ever be neglected, but does an animal that can live in the house matter more than an animal that lives in a cage? Zoo and circus animals are being forgotten and their cruelty is often looked over because many think that those animals are only here for “our entertainment” and serve no other purpose.…

Animals keep dying because zoo keepers and owners can not take good enough care of the animals, or have the time to feed the animals, or take the time to take good care of the animals. Animals in zoos are trapped in cages, all day every day.…

Animals in travelling shows and circuses are forced to travel for hours on end, and held in isolation in tiny cages for almost all of their lives, to be brought out only for the few minutes of their ‘performance’.” This quote reveals that not only the animals are punished, but they don’t have a decent shelter, and they’re treated horribly. In the video, “Should Animals Be Used as Entertainment?” it states, “Peta, wants SeaWorld, to stop confining these animals to an area that’s “the size of a bathtub,” to them.” In…
