Farming is valuable to our life, community, nation, and world. Without it life wouldn’t be as easy as it is now. Many may not notice this at first glance/thought but it’s more than true. We need farming as farming sustains us and our future, especially in Alabama, a state whose main industry is farming. So just think about it, what if farming went obsolete from our society. Imagine the consequences, imagine the struggles, and imagine the adaptations that would have to be made.
From our lives the first thing we would probably notice would be an even worse shortage of jobs. That’s just considering that agriculture is Alabama’s main industry. So our unemployment rate would probably sky rocket and this would make our futures and children’s futures significantly more difficult. This would be logical as almost all our food comes from animal and plant farms and factories. With the jobs that we just all lost, this could be pretty serious for a lot of us. And if the food pricing is going up that would mean that the supply of food is going down. So aside from the fact that we are paying too much for the food I the back of our minds we know that we will eventually run out. I don’t think it's necessary to explain the results of no or limited food supply.
Now we are all broke and starving and it couldn’t possibly get worse right? Wrong. Farming produces cotton. Our clothing is mostly made of cotton. Farming makes our clothing if you put two and two together. I can already hear the smart ones out there “My clothes aren’t made of cotton“. Well for those of you farms also grow polyester and produce silk and most dyes for clothes come from plants. So I think you get the point, now we don’t have clothing. So to some up all my points we are mostly broke, starving and naked. I honestly don’t think it gets any worst but I’m sure it probably
