In this essay I will compare and contrast satellite radio and FM radio. Satellite radio is radio that the consumer buys and is unedited so that you can hear someone’s total view points on a topic. FM radio is usually run by commercials and is always edited. In this essay I’m going to go over the benefits of having both services as well as the cons of both services. I will explore the impact they both have on listeners. I will also go over how they assist the artist when it comes to promoting their album. Hopefully at the end of this essay you’ll be able to decide whether you want to listen to satellite radio or FM radio.

Satellite radio is amazing if you love music without commercials and you like to listen to radio personalities speak about their day to day life with no boundaries. I first started listening to satellite radio in 2013 when I bought a car that came with a free six month trial. Satellite radio introduced me to so much new music because it’s not based on charts of what the most requested song is but rather what great music is out across the board. Satellite radio also provided sports, religion and children programming. Later in this essay I will discuss the cons of satellite radio but we will discuss the pros of FM radio.
