Salsa Brava? More like Salsa Disappointing. Located just off of quiet Route 66 in Flagstaff, Arizona is a Mexican restaurant the whole family can partake in. And, no, it is not Taco Bell. No, it is not Chipotle Mexican Grill, either. This restaurant is Salsa Brava and it makes customers wish they were at Taco Bell or Chipotle because at least those places will leave their clients plenty satisfied. However, Salsa Brava does have its own delicious spin on classic Mexican dishes, such as their shrimp tacos priced at $10.99 and quesadillas for $10.50. Be careful, though, because this eatery is very easy to miss while driving. One can only wonder how Guy Fieri was able to make it in time to film Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. What do you mean you drove right past it? That is alright, since the first time I went there with my family, my father drove right by it, even with his eagle eyes. For a family of 4, the chips supply runs low very quickly. Combine that with the fact that it is difficult to find a server, whether it be from the waiter not walking by the table or that the staff does not wear clothes to symbolize that they are employed at Salsa Brava, there is nothing left but a hungry family and an empty chips container. The food then arrives after a fairly long, boring wait. The time has come. Mouths are salivating. Each dish looks as though Van Gogh himself painted the plate with Mexican food. With food piled on top of the fork, customers take the first bite.
