There are so many villains out there. From Disney villains, to action film villains, to regular everyday villains. People claim that they have a favorite, and will stick with them until the absolute end. Some people say that the villains should not be celebrated, and only like the heroes of the story. Villains are a huge part of every great story, and should be celebrated. I have one particular villain in my mind. He comes from the great mind of J.R.R. Tolkien. He is a part of The Hobbit and the main antagonist in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I am talking about the great evil-doer Saruman. Saruman goes by many names in both The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. He is often called Saruman the white, but is also referred to as the White Wizard, Saruman of many colors and Saruman the wise. His part is the head of the White Council. He starts off as a rather good character, opposed to the evil forces of Sauron. He started as quite the respectable and noble gentleman. But soon he abandoned his morality in order to gain more power for himself. To do so, he teamed up with his former enemy. He has an amazing ability to build plans fast and secretly, and have no one suspect anything. …show more content…
They were forbidden to use their full power by the only creatures more powerful than themselves. The Valar trapped them in old mortal bodies to stop them from using their full power. Saruman joined up with Sauron to get close to the One Ring and use its full power for evil. He also seeked dominion over Middle Earth, but Saruman did not see what he was doing as evil, so no one would have assumes he was evil and wanted to rule over Middle Earth as an evil Tyrant. He is a wonderful villain is the sense that he is smart enough to be able to fool the entire Middle Earth like
