Sarah Mccloud: A Short Story

Sarah McCloud was thinking about Sean Bortles again, her eyes closed. When she first met him, she saw Sean’s welcoming, protective muscular arms and rose tattooed chest; when she got to know him, his heart and his face were cold, like death on a winter's night, arms no longer welcoming and protective but hurtful and ominous. His rose tattoo was a story that she would’ve never wanted to read if she had known the tragic ending from the start.
She heard a door slam, and every pretense had fallen. The facade I had no idea that Sean was playing on me for so long; dominos they had shown the world playing child-like games on me, was gone. She glanced at her reflection. She saw nothing but a sad, but the fabulous young woman who had committed more transgressions than she could count.
But she could’ve never been prepared for what Sean had in store that day.
His silhouette ridiculed her without a word spoken, like ominous shadows at night, making Sarah high-strung. Sarah grabbed an unyielding gun that had been strewn nearby; massaging it with her fingers.
As Sarah stepped outside and Sean came closer, she could see the odd glint in his eye."I am here because I want closure," Sean called out, in an exasperated tone. He slammed his fist against Sarah's door, with the force of a rushing river leaving a gaping hole in the drywall.
Sarah looked back, even more nervous and still fingering the unyielding gun. "Sean, I'm not insane," she replied.
They looked at each other with hope, like two young women, waiting at the bar of a Party to be swooned on by a handsome man after a breakup.
Sarah studied Sean's muscular arms and rose tattoo. Eventually, she took a deep breath. "I'm sorry, but I can't give you closure," she explained, in pitying tones.
Sean looked as blue as the night sky, so cold it cold could freeze time

Opening the once lonely door, there was a hallway that seemed to have just rejoiced with a once depriven necessity. As striking as the first rose in spring, her silky, soft, shiny hair combined with her enticingly exquisite eyes produced a sublime look; it instantly ejected any pressure in the room.
