"Girl in an oven" by- Sarah Jeanette Smith is about a young girl that as a freshman in college who started working as a forest service firefighter. She wanted nothing else than to be treated the same and receive the same task as the men in her team since she was the only woman. So with will power and determination, she proudly proved to them that she can successfully the task's they do and at the same pace. When I read this story I instantly connected with it as you know my grandfather owns a company and as a kid, he would find work and tasks for not only me but my cousins to do.
