I fancy myself an expert on the Bulldog family, I have personally owned 10 different types of bulldogs from boxer-pit mixes, full blooded Pit Bulls, and currently own an American Bulldog. Also I have studied the Argentine Bulldog, the Pit Bull terrier, and the now extinct Old English Bulldog extensively. The Old English Bulldog is the original prototype bulldog and not the ill-genetically concocted Modern English Bulldog, a cross of the original and a pug, rendering it a obese, wrinkly faced, and a genetic certainty that it will have breathing problems. The Pit Bull Terrier, originally called the Staffordshire Terrier, is a cross of the Staffordshire Terrier and the Old English Bulldog. The breed began to emerge as the prototype started to lose favor due to an outlawing of bullbaiting in cities.…

The ambitious creatures have broadened their horizons far beyond their original southwest homes, becoming as common in Los Angeles as they are in hayfields in Indiana. This ubiquity, according to Flores, is due to their incredible adaptability and intelligence as a species. It was these characteristics that have helped the species survive extermination campaigns and decades of hate, and now more recently, helped to win over the hearts of animal rights activists, naturalists, and more. They are an often overlooked source of…

The Southern Mixed Prairie is considered the most important western range type for livestock production (Holechek, Pieper & Herbel, 2011) and once spanned a vast area of 565,000 km2 (Van Dyne and Dyer, 1973). Debate amongst various scholarly sources has made the boundaries of the Southern Mixed Prairie ambiguous. According to one model, this rangeland area spans central Nebraska down into northern Oklahoma (U.S. Forest Service, 2005). An alternate source elaborates that the Southern Mixed Prairie encompasses eastern New Mexico to eastern Texas, and southern Oklahoma to northern Mexico (Holechek, Pieper & Herbel, 2011). Sometimes coupled with the central mixed prairie, the southern mixed prairie can span Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas…

Lunch was the biggest meal of the day and breakfast was normally the smallest. For many years the Pilgrims lacked the materials to make certain foods which included desserts, however, they were able to make pumpkin pie by filling the inside with milk, honey, and spices.
