Parents struggle to find a place that everyone in the family would enjoy. Quality time with the family is very important but difficult to execute. The place that everyone would appreciate is the beach. Specifically, Santa Cruz Beach because of all of the accommodations offered. Every fun memory that I have developed there is unforgettable. For example, the laughs formed over playing football with my family at the beach last summer is one of my favorite. Whether it’s the ocean or the bonfires, Santa Cruz beach would be an amazing backdrop for any family. The feeling experienced when swimming in the warm ocean cannot be replicated. The adventures of surfing and snorkeling in the deep blue are incredible. Being able to swim with the marine life is quite breathtaking. A few years ago I was able to snorkel and swim with ginormous seals. The fact that I could pick up crabs off of the ocean floor was amazing. Nonetheless, younger children are often intimidated by the ocean. Luckily, Santa Cruz beach offers family swimming lessons and life jackets. There are also numerous …show more content…
Making a night at Santa Cruz just as entertaining as the day. Of course, s'mores are in order whenever there is an open fire. The sugar high will kick off a night of singing and silly games. Such as the singing game Riff Off inspired by Pitch Perfect. Last summer my family ended up playing the Riff Off all night. The camp you will be staying at is off the coast of Southern California and is on the North Western side of Catalina. It is 22 miles from Los Angeles which is where you board the ship that takes you to Catalina. When you are outside (or sometimes even when you are inside), the temperature is normally really warm and sometimes humid so I would suggest bringing and applying sunscreen in the morning and after every meal. Some of the native plants are eucalyptus trees, pine trees, moss, and cherry trees. The cherries that are on Catalina Island are different than what we are used to.…
