Santa Anna’s Leg
Many people did not know that Santa Anna had a fake leg make from wood and cork, until one man found out about it, and decided to educate about it. Santa Anna lost his leg by being hit by a cannon, then having to have it amputated. He went into battle because he wanted to redeem himself from his loss of Veracruz. It was the Pastry War. He was told to defend as necessary, and lost his leg in the process. Later on, Santa Anna lost his prosthetic leg to the Illinois Infantry and is now in a museum. He was eating lunch during a battle when he decided to take a break, then the Americans came up and surprised him, forcing him to flee, without his leg. It is now in the care of the Illinois museum. No texan or Mexican has ever tried
