It was well organized and well discussed. I thought it could get a little confusing at times. Will Fowler did an excellent job discussing in depth every key event Santa Anna took part in. The down fall to that, however, is that while discussing one topic, he would keep breaking it down to explain minor parts, and then he would eventually go back to the main topic he was on four or five pages before. In that sense, it was hard to remember what was going on, and it also made it harder to keep the timelines straight. It also got confusing when he compared the various governments, constitutions, and revolutions, especially if they were all mentioned in the same sentence. There were so many of them it was hard to keep them all in order, but it was almost impossible when they were mentioned one after the other. Overall, this book was good. I think the author, Will Fowler, proved his point that Santa Anna was not a traitor, a tyrant, or even a turncoat. Everything Fowler wrote showed that all Santa Anna wanted was for his country to succeed; no matter what he had to do or whose side he had to be on. At certain times it could be boring, but it gave a great look into who Santa Anna really was and the motives behind the events that made him into one of the most famous leaders of all
