Sanjay Dutt (born on 29 July, 1959) is a famous bollywood actor widely known for his deadly image on screen. Sanjay Dutt is son of Sunil Dutt and Nargis, two great actors of Indian cinema. He was involved in Indian politics for a very short time and mostly was infamous for involvement in Bombay Blasts, 1993. Actor is now is spending his jail term in Yerwada jail, Pune making paper bags and doing clerical work for jail officials.
When the riots between hindus-muslims took place in Bombay in 1992 and 1993, Sanjay Dutt’s family did every possible thing that was need of hour to help the victims, especially muslims. This project will discuss various aspects of the case and their relation with the blasts through the charges laid, conviction stated and sentence imposed on Sanjay Dutt with respect to the information gathered by the officials and Confessional Statement made by him. This project shall limit its scope to the involvement of accused Sanjay Dutt and punishment given to him in Bombay Blasts, 1993 case.
There would be laws explaining the sections under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act and the Arms Act under which Sanjay Dutt was booked. It will discuss the points presented by Sanjay Dutt to prove his non-assistance in blasting. There shall be the facts about how political officials championed him. There shall be facts about how he was proved innocent, just not because he was a celebrity, but he acquired weapon only for safety of family for which he had licenses also, although he had never used it and he did not have any personal contact to traders of those
