Sandwich: Critisim To The American Culture

The first thing Gilles should do is to adopt his strategy of critisim to the American culture's norm now that he is aware of how they are used to receiving feedback. He should implement the "Sandwich" technique and further, offer explicit praise when it is earned, on an individual bases and in the weekly meetings. The advantage of this plan is that the American's will understand Gilles appreciation for them, and in turn feel less hostile towards him. However, a disadvantage of this part of the plan is the discomfort Gilles will likely feel and as he is new to this technique it may be received as not genuine at first.
