Sandbox Accomplishments

The first breakthrough that I had was that you can create so many different things with this sandbox game, and you can also destroy everything that you have created as well, which was also quite fun might I add. Initially, I was looking for more things to add to my sandbox world, when I was frustrated and scrolling through the item lists on the side of the screen and I came across the explosives, that is when the lightbulb went off in my head. I got very frustrated at times when I was using this game because I couldn't find something or do what I wanted to do, then I would slow down a bit and really think about things and then boom, I had the answer would all of the sudden just pop into my head. I have found I have a similar way of doing things

One of the most important extracurricular activities I have been a leader in is the JROTC program. This program has provided me with so many opportunities, whether it be to learn about myself or to serve others. For example, my involvement with the color guard helped me develop confidence in my abilities, and therefore helped me learn valuable leadership skills I would later apply to being commander of the team, then personnel adjutant, and ultimately battalion commander. Through being mentored and encouraged by others, I discovered I had the potential to be a leader. As a result of my involvement in the program, I have become more self-confident, and among other things, I have learned the importance of turning failures into success.…

In today's society, every kid that plays a sport gets a trophy for just showing up and that is not right. There is more meaning behind a trophy for a kid than what most people think. Getting a first place trophy is a better feeling than getting a participation trophy. Kids should be able to go home and celebrate their first place trophies and realize they accomplished something rather than getting a participation trophy for just being out there.…

Inquiry-Inquiry has helped me with my research skills. There are several experiences in my life where I have felt that I was treated in an unfair manner, but the most recent of those experiences is the one that occurred to me only months prior to this application. Up until the beginning of November of this year, I used to believe that being a great and successful student would be the most rewarding accomplishment of my senior high career. As a result of this, I unwisely assumed that the most important thing in my life was how well I could do on the next test. I spent a meager amount of my time involved in anything else aside from my homework or studying; expecting to be fairly remunerated for a majority of my hard work. Earlier this year, I was indeed rewarded with an application to National Honors…

Moreover, I found that I have a tendency to get so caught up on finishing project that the nitty-gritty details are forgotten because I am so focused on the big picture. Another important aspect of the 5 Dynamics tool, is the discovery of my own personal learning style. Ever since I can remember video games have always been my escape. On my ninth birthday I received my xbox 360 and since that day I have never look back. With my xbox I have made memories and friendships that will last life a life time. Although some believe things in life are either good or bad, it can be seen through Xbox that things are both good and bad, but it’s the proportion between good and bad that matters, this can be seen through new games, finishing games, and new systems that proves that a disproportionate amount of good versus bad creates good memories. With the Xbox there were many games that I have played that have taken me on hundreds of adventures.…

The way that I show my accomplishments is through the goals that I set for myself.…

None of them seemed appealing to me, and I thought about what to do, I had so many ideas of what to do and found the one that best suited me which was to create a video game and have people play it around the world. I knew video games from the back of my mind so to create my very own video game and have people play it would be outstanding. Although it did have a flaw, I had no experience in making video games. I had a general idea of what to do but not enough to get me far.…
