1. Sand cats live in burrows:

Habitat degradation is the major threat to sand cats. Another threat to sands cats is depleting numbers of their prey due to human settlement and activity. Sand cat’s preys are usually small rodents. Due to the human settlement and the introduction of feral and domestic dogs and cats, sand cats also have to compete for its prey.
