In this modern day and age, most people believe to practice Christianity, being just a traditional religion to follow. Even going as far as to divide the religion into different denominations. Why do so when it 's the same Christ and the same God? Is it to justify their own belief of what 's right and wrong by picking and choosing values to follow within the word of God? Luckily, I 've been blessed with the opportunity to experience a ministry that stand for everything the Holy Bible (KJV) teaches regarding right and wrong. That ministry is called: Refuge Temple Ministries, Inc. (RTM). RTM was founded in 1974, 40 years ago, by Bishop Wendell Archie, Sr. in Lake Charles, LA. Only starting with 6 faithful members who were hungry for the uncompromised …show more content…
Jesus Christ himself talked about being born again in the book of John. He said, "Verily, Verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God". A man then named Nicodemus, who also wondered what being born again was, questioned Jesus ' statement. Nicodemus asked Jesus, "How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother 's womb, and be born?" And Jesus answered, " Except a man be born of the water (baptism) and of the spirit (the Holy-Ghost), he cannot enter into the kingdom of God (Heaven)...Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again". But why be born …show more content…

What my husband's advancement to Chief Petty Officer means to me? The answer of that question could be 10 pages long or I could just resume what I feel in one word, "extremely proud", well I guess two words. I met Christian 16 years ago, he was full of energy, funny, and he had the ability to turn any sad or bad situation into a joke making everybody laugh; that is what make me fell in love with him. On the other hand, he was a little immature, unfocused when it comes to work, and nothing seemed to fulfill his expectations. I always knew that his passion was a career in the military, but that was out of question in my book!…

Originally Satan was a angel in heaven, until God banished him to hell. His creator made him an angel, and then made him into a hideous creature. Both Satan and the monster had appalling appearances because their creator made them that way. Since they despised their creators for making the hideous, they felt similar hatred towards them. The monster stated that “Many times I considered Satan as the fitter emblem of my condition; for often, like him, when I viewed the bliss of my protectors, the bitter gall of envy rose within me” (Shelley 117).…

To be apart of a religious minority community means to be different from your peers. Growing up as a Jehovah’s Witness was very challenging, but I saw the benefits as I grew older. I struggled as a child because there were rarely kids around me who shared the same beliefs as me. With there currently being only 8 million Witnesses worldwide, running into one outside of my congregation would be rare. During certain celebrations, such as Halloween and Christmas, I could not participate because of these beliefs, and I would feel left out and lonely while I watched the other children enjoy themselves.…

Going back to the origin of the word "religion", It may have come from the Latin word "religare"- meaning "to tie fast" or "bind together". I really like this definition because I can relate greatly to it in my past "religious experience". My faith is what keeps me grounded; it is what keeps me from falling apart in the chaos of the world. I have significantly noticed this when my faith has started to hinder- more specifically when I have returned to my faith. I realize how much of a mess my life has become without God; whether thats emotionally or physically out of control.…

“Set your affections on things above; love one another; commune at the table of our Lord in one spirit; worship in spirit and in truth; and if daily adoring, imploring, and living the divine Life, Truth, Love, thou shalt partake of the bread that cometh down from heaven, drink of the cup of salvation, and be baptized in Spirit,” wrote Mary Baker Eddy in 1898 (Christian Science Versus Pantheism). Mrs. Eddy (as she is colloquially referred to by her followers) was the woman who came to found the Christian Science religion, based on the metaphysical New Thought movement, in 1879 (Christian Science, “What is Christian Science?”). For individuals who are born into the modern Christian Science church, understanding the concept of “divinity” in the…
