San Tan Foothills Research Paper

San Tan Foothills, a high school that was once considered an awful place to learn and a horrible place to find peers. The rumors about the so-called “horrible” high school spread quickly and resulted with a great loss of potential. Incoming freshmen were horrified of attending the high school. San Tan Foothills barely grew, in fact more people were dropping out and leaving the school instead of newcomers attending. People in the community saw no hope for the troubled high school. Fortunately, a principal from Poston Butte saw potential in San Tan Foothills and transferred over to make this a place for greatness.
Paper and pencil was the old strategy of learning at San Tan. Though it is the traditional way, the new principal Dr. Richards brought the school a much more efficient way to learn. Laptops were then introduced, people were skeptical at first but then progress was made. Having laptops makes class much more fun and enjoyable. Students can now enjoy games of Kahoot while gaining knowledge at the same time. Before, if a person missed a day of school then he or she was immediately behind. Now, homework and classwork is easier to access, especially if you were absent the day an assignment was given. Richards is the last asset that absolutely makes this high school a place for greatness. Everything that he has done for this school such as celebration/remediation has been proven to raise failing grades to passing. Celebration makes students who excel feel congratulated and gives them a reason to continue achieving good grades. While the students in remediation have a chance to work on their grades during school hours. Sometimes all teenagers need is to be inspired by someone who cares. Dr. Richard makes his voice heard on the announcements giving the students motivation. He continues to encourage the students day by day by showing how much he really believes in the high
