Regarding the negotiation about a new collective bargaining agreement between the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) and the City of San Mateo, I offer the solutions below.

The employees of San Mateo Fire Department insisted to be treated as equal as Bahia Blanca employees with similar jobs. However, they feel that the city is unconcerned with that issue. The city will provide $11 million as annual budget for the next two years. The solutions are offered to be closer the equivalent treatment for SMFD employees and fair for the city as well.

・Average salary can be between $41,000 and $42,000 because it is closer to that one of Bahia Blanca employees without exceeding that amount.
・Benefit Package can be as the same as original one, $25,000 because if the cost of health care rises, compensation might be decreased and even layoffs and the closure will need to be taken.
