The samurais or “Bushi” in Japan where known to have become the premodern warriors of Japan. They made up the military unit that became the highest ranking social caste of the Edo Period. The Samurais had a big choice of weapons they could choose from bows and arrows, spears, guns but they were mostly well known to use swords. The sword was like a symbol to show who they were. But there were a few of them around, some women got trained to be a samurai to take care of there families while the father/ husband were out fighting. They where only aloud to marry people at same class/ rank or higher otherwise you were not aloud to marry them. There main life was getting married once they could get divorced but not aloud to remarry they could have kids and when they where out fighting the female would take care of them. The samurais followed a heap of rules they where called Bushido they where a set of laws that explained to the samurais could and couldn’t do.
The samurais had near to no freedom they where role models and they had to spend a lot of time training so they could defend there country. When they where trained they where taught about fencing and how to throw spears. They where told that they had to be cold hearted strong separated men. The samurais fought for the shogun and the Bakufu. They where forced to wear there traditional armour and use their weapons. Over time the samurais where needed less they eventually became officers.
