Samuel Seium. The help that I would seek from my supervisor would be everything because I want to gather the most information that I can for myself and the betterment of this client. I would have a list of goals that I would show to my supervisor and get recommendations on what I should add or take away. When goals are picked, I would make a list of interventions and seek guidance from my supervisor on what should be added or removed. I would have the same formula when developing outcome measures so we can create realistic measures within ten sessions. Additionally, I would seek advice on her legal options and any additional resources that this client may need. Resources within this agency that I would present to Iris is the women’s shelter because she is worried that her boyfriend might find her and that her sister is starting to be impatient with her that could lead to more stress. I would also recommend that she attend the Women’s Domestic Abuse Survivors Group because studies have shown that it is beneficial for victims to share their experiences and receive support from other victims. The client can also benefit from career counseling which is provided at the Women’s center in Vienna. The Department of Family Services can help the client get her child enrolled in a head start program so she would not have to …show more content…
The third session will be developing and implementing the treatment plan with Iris in a collaborative effort. Session four will be to see how the treatment plan is going and if Iris wants to change anything. Sessions five through eight will be the maintenance of the treatment plan. Sessions nine and ten will be the termination phase of counseling and if any referrals are needed. My top three priorities will be making sure she lives at a safe location, finds a job, and finds affordable child care. I would use CBT with this client because she displays depressive
