Samuel had always dreamed of power, wealth and all the joys it brought, and joining with Lucifer seemed to be an easy road to that power he craved. Instead they lost and he'd been told that he was to be imprisoned for all eternity. Apparently someone had gotten that wrong. He'd found himself on Earth, naked on a beach. Four years of College, a Degree in English Literature, and five years later what had it gotten him? A debt that wouldn't be paid off until retirement, enough Publisher's rejection slips to wallpaper his two bedroom apartment with twice-over, and a job as a reporter on a run-down, inconsequential suburban newspaper that barely provided enough for food and rent, let alone to treat his girlfriend, Olivia, the most positive aspect of his life, as much as he wished. To say that Kyle Lowry wasn't on the path to be being the next great American novelist, and the wealth and fame associated with it, that'd envisaged as a student was an understatement, however, the same couldn't be said for his ex room-mate Aiden Holt, whose residence he surveyed through the car window.
