When it comes to smartphones, everyone is in competition with society. People would judge you, if you didn’t have the newest smartphone on the market, or if they had a phone newer than yours. Speaking of competition, the battle between IPhones and Android will never end! Apple and Samsung are the top leading companies when it comes to smartphones. The article I’m doing a review on is about, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 recall. I would advise you to read this article, and spread the message. On August 19, 2016 Samsung released the Galaxy Note 7. This phone was packed with lots of different new features; it’ll be too much to name them all. I love that this phone is compatible up to 256 GB microSD cards. The main feature that lead them to their …show more content…
The battery could stay charged for a day-and-a-half. James Rogerson, the writer of this article said, “The problem stems from faulty battery cells, which were overheating and in some cases catching fire or exploding.” This is the reason Samsung is issuing the recall. Samsung are having people return their phones, and this is going to cost them millions of dollars. People have suffered burns, cars have caught on fire, and other critical issues caused by the Galaxy Note 7. The crazy thing is that, bus and train drivers in New York, warn citizens who own the Note 7 to turn their phones off before entering, and to not charge them in fear they might explode. Many people are filing lawsuits, and I think they should get their money back. The Galaxy Note 7 cost $834 for retail. That’s almost close to one thousand dollars! People need to be cautious, before spending all of their money on a phone, and put priorities first. Every phone might not match up when it comes to performance, but trust me they all do the same …show more content…
It also reminded me of how Tesla cars, with the Auto Pilot system, which have led to deaths. What if someone is hacking in your phone and can make it overhead, and eventually blow up? Most people would say this is not possible, but people can hack into smart cars. Nowadays, kids under the age of thirteen have smartphones. Parents need to know things like this, because technology can be used against you. I was shocked when I found out, that having a cell phone in your pocket can reduce the level of a male’s sperm count. I would recommend, to never sleep with your phone laying on your body, because it can overheat. and cause a serious injury. Everyone has fallen asleep at night talking on the phone before. Imagine if the phone was still on your face and, the device began to heat up. I always thought if a phone gets too hot, the battery just drains faster. From this article I have learned, that phone can blow up! Also countries can ban certain type of phones, so they are not sellable in the country. Some airlines in countries have denied people from boarding planes, because they had a Note 7 with them. We all should be safe, get rid of our smartphones, and go back to flip

Non-ionizing radiation has not provided evidence that it increases cancer risk and although radio-frequency energy has the ability to heat, this effect is not significant enough to raise the body temperature of the user. Also, the radiation that is found in cell phones is too low for it to cause significant damage to the user; therefore there should be no need for a written health risk for the consumer thus making it potentially ethical for cell phone companies to exclude it. An extensive study by the Norwegian Institute of Public Health found that there was no evidence confirming that the low-frequency radiation transmitted by cell phones caused any negative health effects. The study also concluded that cell phone radiation is below the threshold which would prove dangerous enough to cause the excitation of nerve cells or the breaking down of DNA which is required for a cancer to form. The absence of a written warning would then be…
