On September 8, 2011, the 3rd year BSOAD students held an educational tour in Museo ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Gardenia bakeries and especially the main event of the tour is in the Laguna Splash Island. The Educational tour started out as an escape from school for most of us students, bonding with friends, chance to unwind and of course, to learn new things and to gain knowledge at the same time that we may apply someday.

It was a great experience because the company gave us an idea on how they produce good quality breads from mixing ingredients to packaging and the distribution of products and also I will apply what I’ve learned in our Marketing subject.
Lastly, it’s time to take some relax and happiness! So after the Gardenia Bakeries in Laguna we went straight in Laguna Splash Island to take some relaxation. So most of us students was excited and others not because they had a sick so they can’t able to join us in swimming. The water in pool was so warm because they said the water is came from Mt. Makiling that we nearly saw in that place. So it’s the time to bond with my classmates, chance to unwind and forget the problems for a while.
The tour was a success, short yet meaningful. All of us having fun and took some relax. We were not only learned new things but we were also bond with our classmates and enjoyed. I had fun and learned a lot at the same time. It was a GREAT

There may have been errors in the lab that may have affected the results of the lab. There may have been mistakes: a person may have not measured the substances correctly while retrieving the liquids in the graduated cylinder, or not have been watching the conductivity probe while the group was measuring the electrolyte solution. Along with these, there is also the issue of timing the testing incorrectly. Adding onto this, there may have been a slight spill where the accurate amount of the substance being used was not completely added into the water for testing.…

On Saturday, November 18, 2016, I visited the Rio Grande Valley Commemorative Air Force Museum (or just CAFM) in Brownsville, Texas. It is located on Minnesota Road by the SPI/Brownsville International Airport. Although this museum resides a few streets away from my home, I never visited before. Therefore, I gave the place a shot in impressing my brother and I. Admission costs $6 for adults, $5 for seniors 55+, $3 for kids 12-18, and FREE for kids 11 and under.…

Unlike Jeannette I never moved around a lot in my life so maybe that’s why it so strange to me, but both she and I have some things in common. We both don’t seem to like our distant relatives, both of our mothers can be hypocrites, saying stand up for what you believe in and then reprimanding us about it, and both of us have been and are tricked by our fathers; in her case standing up to her racist parents and digging a foundation for the Glass Castle that the family only really wanted to use as a garbage disposal. Her family also has issues with pride just as much as mine does, only in a different way. The Walls were and are the poorest in any poor neighborhood they move to, but they bring their misfortune upon themselves. Honestly they could…

I learned so much about topics that I didn’t know anything about like Kent State, The Space Race and the Gulf of Tonkin Incident. When I was presenting I loved seeing how interested people were in my topic as was I. People had so many questions and it was great to be able to know so much and answer them. I had the pleasure of attending the first Asa Gray picnic of the year. The activity was supposed to be held at Utica College’s Rose Garden from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm on September thirtieth, but it regrettably was rained out, and the event was instead held in the Donahue Auditorium at the same time and on the same day. I had a lot of fun at this activity, and I look forward to attending more Asa Gray meetings in the future due to this event. After much deliberation on my part, I ultimately decided to participate in this activity because it seemed like fun, and I wanted to meet some of the other science majors. In the beginning, I had no intention of going to the picnic, but my twin sister Skylar is a biology major, so it was mandatory for her…

It was a definite change of scenery to be immersed in nature with lush greenery, crisp air, and ocean views instead of the normal classroom scene. I liked that this experience was a chance to interact with my colleagues and learn who they are on a personal level subsequent to grading their three-minute stories the previous Fridays. From this hiking experience, I learned the value of teamwork, effective communication, and what encompasses wholesome leadership as well as what can transpire when there is no leadership. As like all experiences, there are some parts I cherished and others not as much.…
