Staff Sergeant Michael T. Dugan is a Lead Firefighter for the 171st Fire Emergency Services, 171st Air Refueling Wing, Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. Enlisting with the Pennsylvania Air National Guard in Coraopolis, PA, Sergeant Dugan began his military career in September of 2007. Upon graduating from the fire academy at Goodfellow AFB, he returned to the 171st Air Refueling Wing. As a member of the 171 FES, he has held the positions of Alarm Room Operator, Driver Operator, Crew Chief and Fire Inspector. In April of 2012, Sergeant Dugan deployed to Ali Al Salem AB, Kuwait, in support of Operation "ENDURING FREEDOM" as a Driver Operator. Presently assigned to the prevention division of the department, Sergeant Dugan's duties include the management of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1500 checklist, the Automated Civil Engineer Systems Resource Management (ACES-RM), and New Member Initial Orientation program.
